Private Surf Lessons are a really popular choice for many of our clients. Do you want to receive intensive surf coaching to really accelerate your learning curve?

Private Surf Coaching can be offered for all abilities, whether you are a complete beginner, improver, intermediate or advanced surfer.

All Private Lessons are 2 hours long and include all equipment, although you are welcome to bring your own equipment if you have it.

Our One on One Surf lessons are an intensive 2 hours of surfing. These lessons give lots of instruction, coaching & assistance over a short period of time, so ideal if you are looking to accelerate the learning process.

You will be met at the surf school by the coach, who will assess your surfing experience and tailor the lesson to your current ability.

If you are a beginner, we'll spend some time on the beach, covering safety, ocean awareness & basic techniques of surfing. Once that's covered, we'll get into the water.

If you've already surfed, we'll review the conditions, then get into the water pretty quickly to maximise water time. 

The whole of the session we will be very "hands on". This includes: talking to you & coaching throughout, pushing you into waves, ocean positioning and timing, focusing on paddling, turning & stance, and most importantly ensuring you catch as many waves as possible and have fun!

£105: One on One Private Lesson: with one of our experienced surf coaches, suitable for all abilities. 

£130: Premium One on One Private Lesson: These lessons are taught by our Head Coach Mike Young. These are particularly suitable for intermediate surfers.

VIDEO ANALYSIS: For an additional £50, we can offer Video Analysis as an add-on to the Premium One on One Private Lesson. These 2 hour "in-water" sessions are coached and filmed by Senior Surf Coach. The video footage is captured at close quarters, in the water, using a hand held Go Pro 10, capturing 5K video. The session will also include coaching, and technique feedback in the water, during the session. The footage is then analysed and technical feedback provided either on the same day (depending on availability and schedules), or a few days later either face to face or via video conference (zoom or similar). You will also receive all your video footage.

Our Private 2 on 1 lessons are ideal if you and your partner or friend want to receive expert coaching but without the group environment; the learning curve will be accelerated and you'll progress much quicker.

This offer is best suited if you are both at similar levels with your surfing, but you can be complete beginners or at a more advanced stage; we will tailor the surf coaching to your level.

Surfing is a fun and exhilarating activity for you and your kids. At the Escape Surf School, we teach children to surf from 8 years and above and we ask that they can swim at least 50 metres. 

This lesson is also suitable for small private groups (up to 5 people)

Our Family Surf Lesson costs either £195 (3 participants),  £220 (4 participants) & £250 (5 participants) and includes:

• A private surf lesson for you and your family or friends with one of our professional surf coaches 
• All equipment is included: wetsuits, surfboards and boots and gloves if its in the colder months. We have a wide selection of wetsuits and boards, so you can be sure we'll have the right fitting equipment
• Use of the Escape Surf School facilities including hot showers and changing rooms
• Can be used for Small Group Private lessons (not necessarily family groups)
