We are looking for Surf Coaches to teach all levels of surfing from beginners to intermediate.

We are looking for Qualified and Experienced Surf Coaches to join our team. Currently our requirement is to bring in staff to work for the 2022 season (starting in Spring), but there is a potential for permanent employment for the right candidates. As well as teaching beginners and improvers, we are the only surf school in Newquay that coach intermediate / outback lessons on a daily basis. Our client return rate is high as we take many of our clients on a journey, starting at beginners,  through to intermediate surfing, through progressive & technical coaching.

Preferred Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of surfing experience
• Level 1 or Level 2 ISA Coaching Qualification
• Beach Lifeguarding Qualification
• Relevant Further Education Qualifications (Sports Science Degree, Fitness Training, Personal Trainer etc)
• Teaching or Coaching Experience
• Confident Communicator
• Professional & Reliable

The role includes:

• Meeting and greeting clients & discussing surfing abilities and lesson goals
• Distributing wetsuits and boards
• Providing hands on surf coaching in the water (our coaches do not stand on the beach!) in line with ISA guidelines and our specific lesson plans and operating procedures
• Adapting the level of coaching to the ability of the clients
• Offering professional advice regarding all aspects of surfing
• Maintaining a professional experience for all our clients
• Open and close of the surf school and associated tasks
