Surfing Lessons for Military & Forces Groups
We have a lot of experience in providing group surfing experiences for Military groups. Many of our military groups come back year after year, because we offer such an excellent service.
Our surfing lessons are structured to offer progressive learning enabling your team to learn, practise and remember techniques that help develop important ocean skills.
Our expereinced coaches are all CRB checked and fully qualified ISA surf coaches and RLSS beach lifeguards, and of course we have all the necessary insurance in place so you will be in safe hands.
Our separate secure male and female changing rooms we provide all equipment e.g surfboards, wetsuits, boots, gloves and hoods (for winter.) We have towels and hair-dryers in the changing rooms for extra comfort.
We can cater for up to 40 in each session, but even if there are more than 40 we can offer back to back lessons with a split group, so potentially ctaering for up to 120 in a day,
Extra Activities we can provide for a jam packed week of training and exploring:
- Body Surfing and Hand Planing.
- BodyBoarding
- SUP
- Coasteering

Family Surf Lessons in Newquay
Surfing is a fun and exhilarating activity for you and your kids. At the Escape Surf School, we teach children to surf from 8 years and above and we ask that they can swim at least 50 metres.
You can book your kids onto our standard group surf lessons*, or we also offer private family surfing lessons, which is a really fun way to spend time with the family and learn to surf.
*if children aged between 8-12 are booked onto Group Surf Lessons, we ask that a parent / guardian also joins them in the water, due to the physicality of the activity. If the parent / guardian is not participating in the surf lesson, then we can provide a wetsuit so they can enter the water with the children. Our Family Surf Lesson costs either £195 (3 participants), £220 (4 participants) or £250 (5 participants) and includes:
- A private surf lesson for you and your family with one of our professional surf coaches (up to 5 participants*)
- All equipment is included: wetsuits, surfboards and boots and gloves if it's in the colder months. We have a wide selection of wetsuits and boards, so you can be sure you'll have the right equipment.
- Use of the Escape Surf School facilities including hot showers and changing rooms
- Can be applied to small private groups (not necessarily families)
If you are wish to book multiple lessons, then we offer a reduced rate for multi lesson bookings, when booking 3 or more:
