All our beginners and improvers courses, from the half day to the 6 lesson course are tailored towards your individual level of surfing which we will assess on the day.

On every session, we usually have a mixture of beginners and those that may have had 1or 2 lessons and perhaps more advanced surfers, therefore we will usually have at least 2 or 3 instructors working, (one for each level).

We always assess your ability on the day, and assign you to the correct group – this ensures that you will never receive the same lesson twice, as you will progress through the levels

Whether you are a complete beginner or surf regularly, you will benefit from a lesson with the Escape Surf School. As well as teaching the technique and skill of surfing we also place a great emphasis on safety and water awareness. We pride ourselves on being flexible, so if there is not a course to suit you, just give us a call and we can discuss your requirements.

All lessons take place on Towan, Great Western or Fistral beach, all of which are less than 5 minutes walk from the school. So we meet at the school, where we all change into wetsuits, and then proceed to the best beach for the conditions, tides and clients ability.

The prices include board and wetsuit (and boots / gloves if required) there are no hidden charges.

Half day 1 x 2 hour session - £30

Perfect for beginners looking for an introduction to surfing.
For students on a first lesson we will introduce all of the skills and techniques necessary to surf with control and safety. You'll be riding the waves with style!

If you have already surfed, then we will use this session to build on more advanced techniques.

Full day  2 x 2 hour sessions - £50
An intensive day of surfing aimed at people wanting to learn lots of techniques in a short period of time. The lessons will be tailored to your individual level of surfing guaranteeing your get the most out of the session. The 2 sessions can be taken over 1 or 2 days as required.

3 lessons - £65
A great way to cover the basics of surfing in a short period of time. The lessons will be tailored to your individual level of surfing  The 3 sessions can be taken over 3 separate days if required, or over 2 days

2 full days (4 lessons) - £80
A course designed for an individual or group. You will be shown the basics of surfing through to more progressive techniques, including turning and outback surfing, as well as paddling and wave awareness.

6 day course (6 x 2 hr lessons) - £115
A great course based over one week. Come and surf with us and live the surf lifestyle in the centre of UK surfing. This course is suitable for all abilities, whether you are a complete beginner or have surfed before. You will be shown basic techniques through to advanced techniques like paddling correctly, turning. Lots of water time so a great opportunity to become a competent surfer.

Private Surf Lessons (one on one) - £80
Our Surf instructors are also available for private surf lessons. These are ideal if you are looking for an intensive learning process. They are suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have already had lessons and are looking to improve. You will be met at the surf school by the coach, who will assess your surfing experience and tailor the lesson to your current availability. These lessons give lots of instruction and assistance over a short period of time, so ideal if you are looking to accelerate the learning process.

Surf & Treatment - £55
Why not treat yourself to a massage or facial after your surf lesson? We have partnered up with Dudes hairdressers and Spa, and for only £50 you can have a surf lesson then a luxurious treatment or hair cut. Treatments on offer are: Surfers Remedy massage, Facial, Manicure, Pedicure or Wash/Cut/Blowdry.

Surf & Coasteering - £70

Coasteering is the latest extreme activity to hit the Cornish coast. It’s operated by Hotrock Coasteer, one of the premier providers of Coasteering in Newquay and involves swimming, climbing, caving, jumping and scrambling your way along the coast. With this package you experience the best that the Cornish coastline has to offer, surfing and coasteering.
