The Escape Surf Academy is aimed at Intermediate and Advanced surfers, both recreational and Contest surfers, looking to improve their surfing technique. We offer a variety of courses from intensive 1/2 day sessions, through to weeklong courses.

Now in its eighth year, International Surfing Day unites surfers from around the world to celebrate of the sport of surfing. What began in 2005 with only just a small handful of local observances in the United States has since exploded to more than 200 events in 30 countries worldwide.In addition to catching some waves, surfers around the globe are encouraged take some time to give back to our oceans, waves and beaches. As in previous years, the Surfrider Foundation will be organizing various beach cleanup and coastal restoration events. In 2011, International Surfing Day participants collected more than 5,000 bags of trash worldwide.

Supported by Bridgend Council, the Welsh Coast Surf Club & the Welsh Surfing Federation, plus Obsessive Disorder tail pads, Errant Surf Travel, Surfboard Tracker, and Christian Surfers.

Welcome to the Escape Surf School
The Escape Surf School is based at the centre of UK surfing; Newquay in Cornwall.
We are open 12 months of the year, 7 days a week, so if you want to learn to surf or improve your surfing, then look no further.
We are a British Surfing Association (BSA) level 4 Surf School, which is the highest level achievable in the UK. This means you can be certain you are receiving the best possible tuition from BSA qualified instructors and qualified Beach lifeguards. We provide\lessons for individuals, families and small or large groups (hen and stag parties are very welcome!)
At the Escape surf school, we use innovative teaching methods to ensure all our clients learn quickly in a safe and fun environment. Our ethos is simple; provide the best instruction, using the latest equipment and the most skilled instructors.
If you are looking for a complete surfing holiday, with accommodation, lessons and other activities, then we can arrange a package for you; just let us know your requirements, or check out the details in the accommodation section. Our base in the centre of Newquay, overlooking Town Beach and Newquay bay, has full changing facilities, hot showers and even a hot tub, where you can relax after the lesson.
